Dr CohenDr. Richard S. Cohen

Dr. Richard S. Cohen is graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park where he received his bachelor of Science degree in 1976. He then attended The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated in 1981 as Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. His residency included rotations through various hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio where he received extensive training in forefoot reconstruction and diabetic care. Dr.Cohen treats patients of all ages from 6 months to 100 years old.

Dr. Cohen is board certified in foot surgery by The American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He holds a second board certification in Pain Management.

He has served as chief of the Podiatry section at Prince Georges General Hospital in Cheverly, MD and at Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, MD. He is the medical director of Total foot care Surgery Center in Greenbelt, MD. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Maryland Podiatric Medical Association. He is on staff at Doctors Community Hospital, Prince Georges General Hospital and Total Foot Care Surgery Center.

Dr. Cohen has been practicing in the Greenbelt medical community for 30 years. He is well respected by all members of the medical profession, of which many are his patients. Dr. Cohen was born in Washington D.C. and was raised in Silver Spring, MD. He currently resides in Rockville, MD with his wife, 3 daughters and 1 son in law.

Dr Sassoon Dr. Lion Sassoon

Dr. Lion Sassoon was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. He then received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Sassoon completed a rigorous three-year residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Cooper University Hospital. This facility is a Level I trauma center located in Camden, New Jersey and is affiliated with Cooper Medical School at Rowan University. Dr. Sassoon is trained in all aspects of both conservation and surgical care of the foot and ankle and treats patients of all ages.

He is on staff at both Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, MD and Total Foot Care Surgery Center in Greenbelt, MD.

He is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Maryland Podiatric Medical Association.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Sara and their two boys: Avi and Rafi. His hobbies include biking, basketball and reading.
